Edward Mitchell


Ed joined Wallmans Lawyers in February 2018 and practises in the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution section specialising in commercial and insurance litigation, as well as assisting with medical and professional discipline litigation.

Ed assists in the provision of specialist advice and representation to the Local Government Association Mutual Liability Scheme (LGAMLS) regarding public liability and professional indemnity claims concerning South Australian Councils and Local Government entities.

Ed also assists in providing advice to doctors, dentists, teachers and other professionals in civil and criminal proceedings and professional and disciplinary issues. He has a particular appreciation of medical and personal injury claims having also attained a Bachelor of Health Science with majors in Anatomical Science and Pathology. In addition to this, Ed has first-hand experience in medical settings, having worked as a clinical trial coordinator in a leading university research unit and as a laboratory coordinator in a private hospital.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from the University of Adelaide and is admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court. Prior to joining Wallmans, he undertook a law clerk placement in litigation and was Associate to the Honourable Justice Kelly in the Supreme Court from 2017-18.
