Chris was a Partner of Wallmans for almost 35 years, and was a member of the firm’s managing executive for over 20 years. He is a highly experienced litigator and specialises in dispute resolution, particularly in the areas of business disputes, public liability, professional negligence and insurance claims. His expertise has been recognised in the prestigious Best Lawyers Australia* list which identifies the nation’s outstanding legal practitioners as well as in Doyles Guide as a leading Litigation and Dispute Resolution Lawyer. Chris is a key member of the firm’s Local Government practice and also advises in the areas of commercial contracts, governance and general organisational and business advice.

Chris provides strategic advice to major commercial, Local Government and not for profit organisations on a wide variety of legal and business issues. His industry experience includes professional services, manufacturing, building, education and transport infrastructure. Chris has been providing risk management and claims assistance to councils for over 30 years. Additionally, he has acted for a national transport operator for over fifteen years, managing a range of infrastructure issues including recovery claims for damage to its infrastructure assets. He currently represents private and public clients in a wide variety of court matters both locally and interstate.

In addition to being admitted to practice in SA, NSW and the Federal and High Courts of Australia, Chris is also Commissioner for Taking Affidavits in the Supreme Court of SA. He is a trained mediator and acts for both private and institutional clients in relation to mediation, arbitration, conciliation and all other forms of alternate dispute resolution.
